Almost all metals used are mixtures of various elements, resulting in properties superior to those of pure metals. In the same way, the academic powerhouse that is Unisa emerged from a melting pot, 150 years in the making, containing multiple institutions, diverse learning and research communities, and, above all, exceptional students and alumni.

In celebration of Unisa’s milestone 150th year of academic excellence, the institution’s publications team will publish a range of personal stories that will feature throughout the year.
