Purpose statement:
This short course is intended for trainers, tutors, programme managers and lecturers at
both TVET colleges and universities. It offers participants a chance to acquire the
knowledge and skills needed to understand factors contributing to students' poor
performance and to critically reflect on intervention strategies for supporting and
managing learners who fail to meet acceptable academic standards, by developing an
action plan to resolve the situation.
